Returning to the blogosphere
After 11 years of this site effectively being shelved and gathering virtual dust, I've finally returned to it and am producing information security related content.
After 11 years of this site effectively being shelved and gathering virtual dust, I've finally returned to it and am making a start on producing content.
The main driver is that I wanted to start putting some content out to the world for the information security world. From my network of colleagues and like minded individuals I have learnt plenty over the years, time for me to provide some value - hopefully!
One particular topic that drove this change is to start doing write ups for online labs, specifically from the Blue Team Labs Online platform at this point. From there I want to post content to try and help those new to the industry of cyber security, or perhaps people moving along a career path where I might have insight.
My final reason was that this site was previously running on WordPress, like many other sites I have built and run over the years. As a platform it worked well for self hosting & delivering specific site requirements. However the dispute between Automattic & WP Engine spurred me to move away from that platform. As I post this site is now using Ghost CMS which was very easy to set up, but I'll likely move to Hugo at some point in the future.
